Painting a high ceiling from a ladder

Credentials

Height work needs
its own licence.

A second-storey wall or a five-metre cathedral ceiling isn't just a ladder job. NSW requires a separate licence for it, and if something goes wrong on an unlicensed job, insurance doesn't cover it.

Questions

Before you get a quote.

Is the quote free?

Yes. We come out, look at the surfaces in person, work out what preparation is needed, and give you an itemised quote in writing.

How do you price a job?

Preparation drives the price more than area does. Lots of cracking or a failing existing coat means more work. Number of coats and finish level matter too. Tell us your budget and we'll work inside it.

Can you do second-storey exteriors?

Yes. We hold an NSW high-risk work licence (HRW990038, Class WP) and Work Safely at Heights certification. If an unlicensed operator has an accident up a ladder, insurance won't cover it — worth checking with anyone you get a quote from.

How long will it take?

It depends on size and how much preparation is needed. Exterior work depends on the weather. We give you a timeframe at the site visit and tell you straight away if anything shifts.

What paint do you use?

Reputable brands, matched to the surface and how exposed it is — timber, render, brick and fibre cement all need different products. If you have a brand preference or want low-VOC, we'll use it.

Can I stay home while you work?

Yes. Floors and furniture get covered and the site is tidied daily. If you'd rather be out for certain stages, just say.

Do you subcontract?

No. Ji-Woon Park, the owner, does the work. The person who quotes the job is the person who paints it.

Can we deal in Korean?

Yes — consultation, quotes and day-to-day communication can all be handled in Korean.
